Host a German exchange student!
Discover German culture by hosting an exchange student next year! Our hosting programs provide a broad educational experience for students and increase international and cultural understanding among young people
BECOME A HOST
Take the opportunity to experience German culture at home! We have a group of German students arriving in Sydney in October 2017. The exchange students will spend four weeks in Sydney and we are currently looking for schools with a German program to work with us.
Our unique hosting programs provide a broad educational experience for students and increase an overall understanding of the other culture and language. If you would like to get involved, please contact us using the form on the right.
WHY HOSTING AN EXCHANGE STUDENT
Meeting and communicating with a student from Germany will help you improve your own language skills.
Hosting an exchange student gives you the unique opportunity to make a life-long friend on the other side of the world.
You get the chance to visit your host brother or sister in Germany on our 6-weeks student exchange in December / January.
HOST & SAVE!
Australian students who host a German visitor get a discount on the return visit to Germany (this is not compulsory)
The German students will live with an Australian family to immerse themselves in the language and culture. Hosting a student is a great opportunity to make friendships that last a lifetime. We carefully match up your students based on your age, gender, similar interests and after school activities.
On most days, you will take your German exchange student to school with you. This is a great way for them to experience the cultural differences and to understand the Australian school system. Ideally your visitor participates in all activities you do – at school and after school.
ACTIVITIES & TOURS
Exchange Me will organise one excursion per week. This is for the exchange students only and includes day trips to the CBD, Canberra, the Blue Mountains and the Royal National Park. All these excursions are planned by Exchange Me and fully paid for by the exchange students.
The group of German students will arrive with at least two chaperones, who are their English teachers from back home. Should you come across any problems during the program, both our team and their chaperones can help you out.
Sydney: 7 October – 3 November 2017
If you are interested in working together, send us an enquiry and we will get back to you within one business day.
