Last week, we had the great honour to meet lots and lots of English teachers at the English Teachers Association of NSW Annual Conference. We would like to thank all attendees for joining us and showing interest in our programs. For those who didn’t get a chance to stop by, we would like to give you a little overview of the English programs we have available.
You might think a company called ‘Exchange Me’ who specialise in student exchange programs would not offer any tours to an English-speaking country. Since we started operating back in 2000, a lot has changed. There are so many destinations and tour models that are beneficial to students of any curriculum area, so we have taken different subjects into consideration.
We fully support the learning of a foreign language and believe that a language immersion or cultural exchange is extremely beneficial. However, we believe that those who don’t study a foreign language should still be able to learn outside the school environment and utilise the knowledge they have previously gained in the classroom. A school tour to England is a fantastic way for English language and English literature students to do this. Exchange Me can arrange the following programs:
An educational tour through England gives a taste of the life, work, and source of inspiration of some key English literary figures, while taking in some of England’s most beautiful scenery and key historic cities. Students travelling with Exchange Me have the unique opportunity of studying at the University of Oxford, which opens a world of opportunities for their future careers.
English literature tours can be combined with history, business and economics studies.
Exchange Me can offer your students the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to live and study in Oxford for a few weeks. On this study trip, Students attend lessons in the facilities of the prestigious University of Oxford in the morning, and take part in a program of cultural activities in the afternoon. The emphasis of our school tours to Oxford is on an immersive cultural and social experience. Study subject do not only include English Language, English Literature and Creative Writing, but a whole range or other curriculum areas, making it easy for teachers to combine groups for this tour.
Oh, I almost forgot the exciting part of the conference. Thanks to all those teachers who entered our draw to win a premium leather travel wallet. A big congratulation to Rob Baiton from North Sydney Boys High School!
We do hope you all enjoyed the conference and found it informative and educational. If you have thought about taking your students on an English Literature Tour, we do hope you consider Exchange Me as your travel partner. Feel free to contact our team at any time to request a non-obligatory quote and sample itinerary from us.
We look forward to working with you and create unique and unforgettable experiences for you and your students.
